Very pleased!
We were very pleased upon arrival..the posted pictures were very accurate. The villa was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the use of the outdoor table and pool area. The beds were comfortable and I enjoyed listening to the water break on the rocks before sleeping. The villa’s decor was very nice snd the kitchen had the necessary items needed for cooking. You definitely need to rent a car to get around the island. Going to different beaches and restaurants each day was fun and exciting! Thank you Peter for a wonderful week in St. Maarten!

Amazing private property w/ great views, patios, and private pool. Great location. Easy to access.
Even better the second time! We had such a wonderful experience at La Casita, again. Definitely rent a car to get around the island. The villa has tons of privacy including parking and private pool. The villa is in an area w/ 24 hour camera surveillance and a guard to the entrance at night. The villa is very convenient to the airport and getting around the island. We just like to relax and party at the villa, but there are plenty of beaches, restaurants, and clubs within a short drive. All bedrooms are private with their own bathrooms. Great outdoor patios, both covered and open. We will be back.

Highly recommend!
Great experience, we loved the house, Peter was very professional and the view of the ocean was spectacular. Highly recommend this place for anyone coming to St. Martin.

Amazing Caribbean Villa
Easy to find/access. Spent most of our time in or around the private 30ft. pool or surrounding patios. Lots of room and privacy inside and out. Free Wi-Fi and magic jack phone to the U.S. were definitely plusses. So relaxing, we almost didn’t go anywhere else. However, I would definitely recommend renting a car. We only utilized two of the three available bedrooms. Even though we were sharing the common areas of the Villa, there was still seclusion/privacy with each bedroom. Had read complaints about mosquitoes outside and around the pool. We prepared by bringing citronella candles and insect repellant. Did not need either. Never saw one mosquito. Perhaps it was the breeze. We still used the candles around the pool at night for ambience and left them for future guests. La Casita is the perfect Villa getaway for couples, families, or friends to take a wonderful St. Martin vacation. Highly recommended. Would love to return, soon.

Relaxing villa in the most perfect location!
My husband and I just got back from St. Maarten and we enjoyed every moment of our stay at La Casita. The villa was beautiful and had everything we needed and then some! We LOVED lounging in the pool and the outdoor chairs. The view was breathtaking. The location itself is also quite perfect. Close the airport, restaurants, Maho Beach, yet still feels so private, serene, and secluded. The owner was so wonderful to work with and even sent us a “have a great trip” email prior to our trip and called us on the day we were to leave to ensure everything was going well. We look forward to coming back with our friends and family!

Great location and beautiful views
Thanks again for letting us stay at your beautiful villa. This 3 bedroom / 3 master bath villa was perfect. We enjoyed the afternoon laying out and swimming in our private pool and cooking dinner in your well supplied kitchen. We will be back again!!!! Bryan

The pictures really do no justice
What an amazing villa!!! Just as described and even better in person!! As soon as you walk into Lac Casita you are face front with an amazing view that’s unbelievable. La Casita is furnished very well and very clean. The pictures really do no justice to how nice this villa is. Peter is excellent with his communication and had everything ready for us. The villa is located very close to Maho beach but not close enough for the noise from the place to be a nuisance. The neighbourhood is also very safe and secure and they have a security guard present starting in the evening so you always feel safe. St Maarten is an amazing island and this villa made our stay a lot more enjoyable, I will definitely be back to stay at La Casita again!!!

Absolutely beautiful place. Clean and wonderfully appointed. As advertised
We spent a night before a flight out and wished we could spend the week. Wonderful location with terrific views of the water. Clean comfortable home.

Beautiful La Casita
As advertised- La Casita is a wonderful 3 bedroom 3 bathroom villa located a stones throw(or less than) from the turquoise water of the Carribean. Fantastic home layout offers great kitchen dining and living room, 3 private bedrooms, and amazing outdoor living spaces for dining or just relaxing by the private pool. Location is superb- easy to access, close to all of the attractions, yet very quiet and private. Owner and housekeeping(daily service) are very responsive, kind and easy to work with- always available to help if needed. I highly recommend La Casita- the property is delightful and conducive to couples, friends, or families. Book it and enjoy!

Private, quaint, hideaway!
This villa is located nearly at the end of a peninsula facing west overlooking Burgeaux Bay. You will be lulled to sleep by the soothing sounds of the surf (we loved it) and that sound is unavoidable as the surf hits the large rocks just below the bedroom. The locked and secure villa door from the driveway opens up to a covered outdoor eating area overlooking the private pool with two separate buildings both of which also have their own secure locks. The main building is on your left and is a long building with the kitchen at one end and the bedroom at the opposite end. Between the two rooms is a living room with steps that lead down to the bathroom and bedroom (bathroom is an open concept with a wooden vanity that has two sinks, a separate tiled shower, and a small toilet room with a door–no exhaust fan but louvered window). The air conditioning, propane gas stove, microwave oven, coffee maker, TV, wifi, etc. were all in good working condition and made for a pleasant stay. The BBQ (nice feature) had one small issue where the ash door has seized up making removal of the ashes and venting from the bottom difficult. The private pool deck and private outdoor shower are excellent for relaxing in the hot sun and staying cool. You will want to rent a car for getting around and we highly recommend driving to Orient Beach for a day to experience the beach, restaurants and bars which is much different from Simpson Bay and Maho Beach. My wife and I have been renting villas in St. Maarten for nearly 10 years and we have come to expect that all villas must have tile floors throughout to protect against water damage and any wood furniture will have a slight mustiness from the humidity–that has been consistent with all villa rentals. We loved our stay at this villa and will likely stay here again but we had a few minor concerns we would like to share. The road to the villa is sometimes temporarily blocked by construction or emergency vehicles near Maho Beach or near the villa where you may have a choice of navigating around the obstruction. The owner of the villa has an internet phone connected to a USA number so that is a great feature for calling the US, but there should be a way to quickly dial for local emergency medical/police assistance in the event of an emergency (beware slippery tile after drinking around the pool). Lastly, while the housekeeper was friendly and did a great job of keeping the villa spotless, she and the local property manager both did not respond to telephone voice mails and the housekeeper showed up over 1 1/2 hrs late for our check-out. Lucky for us we were not flying out that day but we did miss another scheduled appointment on the island which was quite frustrating. It should be noted that the US owner of the villa did respond to our phone and email with a solution to that issue within approximately one hour of our calling him (after failing to get in touch with the housekeeper or local property manager). I imagine he was frustrated as well. With all that said, we highly recommend this villa rental. It does not have 5-star modern amenities but the kitchen is modern, and the overall villa is a lot nicer than nearly all of the hotels and condo rentals at a similar price–throw in the privacy of having your own villa, your own private pool, kitchen, BBQ, etc. and this is a great value!

Spacious Property with Private Pool on the Ocean
We felt fortunate to find this property when we decided to stop in St. Maarten on our way back from St. Kitts. Peter agreed to rent for the weekend only. Its a property best enjoyed over a week or longer. It features a spacious living room, 3 bedrooms, a courtyard and its own pool. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the things needed to prepare meals. It did, however, lack a dishwasher. The living room featured wicker furniture a TV with cable. The master bedroom was also spacious and had a door directly out to the pool and a master bathroom with dual sinks. We enjoyed meals in the courtyard overlooking the pool and ocean. There were plenty of lounge chairs by the pool which was refreshing and clean. If you have a car, there is private parking by the front door, which made it easy to unload and load luggage. Some things could be improved. The window cranks on some windows would not work, so could not close completely. It made it more difficult to keep rooms cool. On the other hand, it was nice to hear the waves crashing on the rocks in front of the villa, especially when sleeping. The biggest challenge is the plethora of keys needed for all the different doors. There is a set for the master bedroom/living room, another set for the other bedroom. In addition, you need a key to operate the air conditioning. We had to jump back and forth between the living room and master bedroom to use the same key to cool the rooms. None of the keys are marked, so it becomes a constant trial and error to figure out what key goes to what lock. This needs to be simplied to reduce the frustrations with all the doors. Overall, Peter, the owner was good to work with. Deniece, the housekeeper did a good job, although she is a very quiet person. She’ll stop by with her 2 kids while she changes towels and cleans up some. There was also a man who came by to clean up some of the landscaping. We were surprised when both showed up while we were there, but it wasn’t a problem. Overall, LaCasita is in a quiet neighborhood close to the airport, but not so close to hear the planes. We enjoyed sitting by the pool watching the planes land and the sailboats go by. If you want a relaxing place to stay, LaCasita provides that.

Nice property
We have stayed here several times and love the place. The only problems is that the air conditioner in the living room does not work properly. And we never figured out how to use the TVs and Cable TV. But who needs TV in St. Marteen!!!

AMAZING!!
Took a guys trip with two of my buddies. We decided on La Casita because of the amazing view of the ocean we saw from the pics. The pics do not do the view any justice at all. It’s breathtaking! You’ll literally just want to be by the pool all day long having drinks and relaxing to the sound of the ocean waves crashing. The area was very nice as well. In a nice family friendly neighborhood tucked away from all the noise of the Maho beach area. It’s about a 5 min drive from the airport and 7 min from Maho beach area. The infamous sunset beach bar (If you don’t know it’s where everyone goes to check out the airplanes) is within walking distance but the sun will most likely destroy you before you get there haha. This isn’t the owners fault but my only complaint is the mosquitos. Bring bug spray. Owner does have citronella candles available outside by the main table. All bedroom entrances face the pool/courtyard area. At night while you sleep you can hear the waves crashing vividly. Set an alarm because the sound of the waves crashing will put you to bed for HOURS!! Kitchen was a nice size stocked with all utensils and cookware. We went to a market near the main area and stocked up on bottled water and groceries before we checked in. By your wine/liquor in SXM it’s dirt cheap compared to the DF.

What a fantastic vacation!
La Casita was a wonderful escape from the dreary winter weather. Upon arrival, we got that fantastic glimpse of the sparkling Caribbean! It was hard to tear ourselves away from it to visit other places. The sunsets were to die for, something different every night. The Villa was spotless and kept that way by Deneese. I travelled with my husband and 2 sisters. As others have said, the layout of the bedrooms offer complete privacy from each other and never did we feel on top of each other. The kitchen was fully functional and perfect to make meals to enjoy outdoors. Sitting outside with the lovely Caribbean breeze to cool you off was wonderful. TVs worked perfectly (not that you go away to watch tv!), WIFI was really good, no issues what so ever. We were close to Sunset Beach and could walk there and to the Maho market in about 10 minutes. Karackters was also within walking distance and we enjoyed the beach and drinks there several times through out our stay. I have rented many homes while on vacation and I can say without doubt, that La Casita is one of my top choices and I would definitely want to stay here again and again. I must also add that Peter was absolutely wonderful to work with. I booked this last minute and he was very accommodating and informative. What an absolute pleasure! If you’re looking for a perfect accommodation, with spectacular views, lovely comfortable furnishings and being lulled to sleep by lapping waves, then stay at La Casita! It’s definitely a home away from home. Thank you Peter for sharing this wonderful property!

Great Location
This is our 3rd vacation on the wonderful Island of St Maarten and our 2nd stay in the Beacon Hill, Simpson Bay area. The views are absolutely beautiful. When you open the front door and walk into La Casita it is quite breathtaking! The location is also great with close proximity to beaches and restaurants. La Casita property is in good condition, beautiful pool area, wonderful wicker lounge furniture, the entire house was well decorated but requires some updates such as a hand rail installed leading to the pool level…very slippery. I actually took quite a fall going down these stairs. I really love to BBQ and of course was expecting a modern gas BBQ but to my disbelief, there was a charcoal one -doesn’t work well when your located on the ocean with the strong breeze. The house had many mosquitos from the time we arrived; they were present in the kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. The biggest disappointment was the 2 loud barking dogs at 32 Beacon Hill next door that started anytime from 5:45 AM and continued most of the morning. The morning barking stopped after the 5th day……but picked up periodically in the late afternoon and evenings. The pool was very clean and the gentleman that cleaned the pool was quite friendly. There are local fellows that came to surf in front of the villa each day and it was most entertaining to watch them. The air conditioner in the living room was not working the first day however, it was fixed the next day – definitely need the air conditioner. The keys for all the doors are annoying – it would certainly help (as per previous reviews) to mark the door keys more clear.

La Casita will not disappoint!
Pics don’t do La Casita justice. House is well appointed, pool and views to die for, telephone free from/to USA is a plus. Location close to everything (need to have a car). We had 10 great days here 6 of us ranging from 28-58 years old. Even had “bonus” of going thru Hurricane Gonzalo on our 2nd to last day. WOW- a little scary but overall a thrilling experience and La Casita held up considering strength of storm. Deneese the housekeeper is a joy- one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Looking at going back next year- love St Martin and love La Casita- Thanks Peter!

Peaceful Paradise
Our stay at LaCasita is always perfect. The Beacon Hill area is such a quiet neighborhood with access to everything you want. The walk to one of the prettiest beaches is one block. The proximity to an endless choice of restaurants is amazing. LaCasita is furnished beautifully, very clean and has all the amenities you need for a peaceful vacation. The view from the deck is amazing and the breezes are perfect. You can swim in the pool while watching the ships come in and the sunset watching doesn’t get any better than from the deck. The layout of the house is perfect for several couples and or a family. The bedroom suites are very private. Thanks for having such a special place for us to relax and enjoy St. Maarten,

Fantastic villa in amazing setting!
We had a wonderful stay at La Casita Villa! The view is outstanding to stare at the beautiful Caribbean water as the yachts and sailboats pass by. The location is just as good, only a short 10-15 minute walk to either Simpson Beach or Maho Beach to watch the planes with the rest of the tourists 🙂 The pool is perfect and so is the ocean, although we chose to swim at most of the other plethora of beaches on the island. Because of the close proximity to markets and restaurants you can walk or cab, but get a car and check out the island. We did, every day. Great restaurants nearby (we preferred Chesterfields in Philipsburg) but we enjoyed cooking at the villa as well. The home is well equipped, and we also appreciated the lovely decor and furnishings. 5 Stars!

What a wonderful vacation home!!
We stayed for a week with our two adult children and thier spouses, so the 3 separate bedrooms with king size beds and in-suite baths were perfect. The location is so convenient to the airport we now wish we would have taken a cab from the airport ($7 USD for two people) and then rented a car on the days when we traveled the island. The 32′ swimming pool with the ocean waves on the other side was paradise; and several days were were content to just be by the pool. The pool is very well maintained, clean and serviced weekly. We agree with the reviews from prior guests….Ermine, the housekeeper is wonderful! She is a very nice person; has been with the house for more than 25 years as it’s daily caretaker. She has pride in the home and how it looks and makes the guests feel welcome and comfortable. The multiple keys and locks was confusing. Our first reaction was “we must be in an unsafe area”; but it’s quite the contrary! It would help if you color coded the keys so one could quickly tell which key was for which door and which lock on the door. All in all it was a great week and when we return to St Maarten we’ll be staying there again. It’s such a convenient location to restaurants, shopping, groceries and activities. Thanks, Loy and Ellie

Great home!
This home was in a great location for us. We loved how close it was to Maho and Simpson Bay. We spend most of our time in those areas. We had 3 kids ages 1-9 with us on this trip. They highly recommend the pool as they were in it all the time. House was fully furnished for us with anything we would have needed. Was pleased to see a security guard at the end of the road protecting this nice area. we have been to the island 4 times now and this was the best place we have stayed so far. Whenever we decide to head back to the island (so many other places to see), we will try to stay again. The house keeper does a great job as well! One thing I would change is all the keys on the key ring and door locks!

3rd Visit Here!
Just returned from our 3rd visit to this villa. Great villa for 2 or 3 couples due to the separation of the bedrooms and baths. Best way to start the day is to meet in the middle outdoor (but covered) center area that overlooks the pool and ocean. We could probably spend all day there! Well equiped kitchen, dining and family rooms, however we did not spend much time at the villa during the day. Easy access to anything and everywhere on the island. Took the cooler and lawn chairs up to Maho Beach to watch the planes come in and leave, so glad they were there to use. Ermine, the housekeeper is a wonderful person and the place is spotless. My only suggestion would be to put either a hand rail or sticky strips on the tile steps down to the pool – once wet they are quite slick. Most likely we’ll be back!

Our 17 Night Stay at LaCasita
The views were spectacular, and the villa itself was beautiful. We loved the convenient location. Our housekeeper Elsa was very sweet, and Ekaterina (concierge) stayed in touch with us either by e-mail or teleThis was our second stay at LaCasita but first since the present owners had purchased it. It’s a great villa in a great location. It’s very private with outstanding sunset views. We actually saw the green flash twice. The villa is well equipped complete with a nice sized cooler to take to the beach as well as sand chairs. There was one raft for the pool but we purchased two more and left them behind for future guests to enjoy. The maid Ermine is a wonderful lady and is very accommodating as far as times when she’ll do the cleaning. She works around your schedule and is all about your comfort and having the best time. The villa is nicely protected from the winds which can be strong during the winter months and the covered area is perfect for the daily but brief storms that are common to the island. We actually found ourselves staying in several days rather than going to the beach. We had the sun, freshwater pool, waves crashing in front of us, cover from the passing storms and of course our food and drink nearby in the kitchen. We always rent villa’s and LaCasita is probably our 6th different one in St Maarten. It’s one we will definitely stay at again.phone and was very helpful. We all agreed that this was one of our best vacations. La Casita Villa exceeded all expectations. We loved it!
