Great location and very nice villa !
The location was perfect- our 1st time on the French side. We kayaked everyday to Pinel Island. Loved that there is a great sandbar in the middle so we could take a break from rowing and swim around there. Can also stop off at a little beach on a small island in the middle called Little Clef. The open floor plan was perfect for our family. Audrey the property manager was wonderful as well- friendly and extremely responsive. We have rented many homes on a few different islands, and this home and location was one of our top picks. Highly recommend.

Our stay at Villa de Mer was amazing!
The villa itself was immaculate. The view of Pinel Bay is amazing to wake up to every morning, and the villa has telescoping glass doors that allow you to open up the entire 1st floor of the house to the deck and pool area, and take in the fresh air and ocean breeze. The kitchen had everything you could need – an espresso maker, convection over, stove top, microwave, and a large refrigerator and freezer to make your own meals. The bedrooms were also a nice size, and the beds very comfortable. There is a walkway just a short walk from the house that leads you to Pinel Bay, where there are two double kayaks available for you to use. We spent a few days of our trip taking the kayaks out to the beach on Pinel Island, exploring Pinel Bay, and you could also take them to Orient Beach when the water is calm. We rented the house with another couple, and everyone was extremely pleased with how it turned out. The caretaker of the house, Audrey, was extremely nice. She gave us an overview of all of the appliances, some insight into different things to do on the island, and they even left us some wine and beer for our stay!! In addition, I ended up leaving one of my watches at the house the day we left to return to the US, and they were willing to go out of their way to ship it back to me. I truly cannot say enough good things about the house, or the owners. It was a great vacation, and we will look to stay here again if we return to St. Martin.

Beautiful Villa
Villa Cote Mer is a beautiful home. We especially enjoyed having our own private pool. And the views were amazing. Everything about our stay was perfect. The villa is in a great location(even though we had a little trouble finding it). The kitchen was great to cook in and had everything we needed. We had an amazing stay and are already planning our next vacation to St Maarten. I would highly recommend this villa.

Beautiful Rental, 5 star vacation!
We had a wonderful vacation in St Marteen. The house was beautiful and very clean. Had mamy wonderful amenities and is located in a quiet gated community. This villa was a perfect destination for my family. The location to resturants and beaches was 5-10 min drive. The care taker of the house was very friendly and willing to help us with any questions we had. Definitely recommend this property!

Loved everything about it!
My husband and I stayed here recently with 2 other couples for a week. We loved the villa! The kitchen was very well stocked, which in important to us because we all love to cook. Our favorite thing about the villa was how the whole front of the house opened up, so even when you were inside, you felt like you were actually outside. The view was gorgeous as well, and the neighborhood was quite and private. The location was also perfect. Very close to many beaches, shopping, and restaurants. We all commented on how comfortable the beds were and how we slept so well there. The villa was very clean and had everything you would ever need. Spent a lot of time sitting in the bean bags by the pool! Audrey, who welcomed us when we arrived and saw us off when we departed, was great. She was available anytime we needed her and took care of all of our needs. Fred, the “pool guy”, was fantastic and full of information on places to go and things to do. Overall, I would rate this villa one of the best, if not the best, that we have stayed in. Loved everything about it!! Jeannie

Just like the listing
Had a great stay. Everything was explained well when I arrived, and was as described. Would highly recommend this villa!

Excellent !
Perfect location for this very nice villa, a lot of personality in a ” close to the water” design, wooden house by the ocean, but with all the comfort and equipment you can imagine. Everything so easy and well maintained. The view on the water is great, and the community is extremely quiet and peaceful. The bay of Cul de Sac is wonderful to be explored by kayak, a lot of birds, good snorkeling close by, and at the end a delicious mojito frozen at the Karibuni on Pinel Island ( a must !)

excellent !
This villa is really great, in a perfect condition with an unusual design, very well equipped in a quiet and secure community. The view from the terrace on the bay of “Cul de Sac” is magnificent , and our kayak trip to the incredible beach of Pinel with a lunch there was a treat ! Go for it !

Perfect for the family.
Dominique, the owner, was very accommodating. Audrey who greeted us at the villa, was very helpful and informative. We appreciate that their English was better then our French (which is none). The accommodations were as published, which were amazing. A gorgeous view that was way better then the units closer to the water (and most likely quieter). The beach is a boat launch area and not much of a sand beach, but the whole bay is gentle an shallow, so any activity in the bay area will be in mostly calm water no deeper than 5 feet. The 7 of us (5 adults, 2 teenagers) had a magnificent stay. Plenty of room and an amazing pool with view. The location is perfect for a low stress vacation. Near Pinel Island (gorgeous), short driving distance to Orient and Anse Marcel beach. The highlight of Cul de Sac, besides the quietness, is the local restaurants. Nothing but magnificent food at all the places we visited. We highly recommend Villa Pizza for your quick food fix. For true culinary experience, Le Grain de Poivre and Jam Rock, both tickled our palettes. The owners of Le Grain de Poivre were spectacular hosts, and made us want to move to St. Martin. If we could blame Dominique for anything, it would be the weather. We did have rain showers most of the week we were there. Otherwise, the property was fantastic. Would rent this location again in a heartbeat.

Island Escape
We spent a week in this wonderful villa this January. We had 3 couples, and there was plenty of room for all of us. We spent a lot of time on the deck and lounging around the pool. The proximity to Pinel Island is a huge plus. 4 of us took kayaks to the island, and 2 took the ferry. Either way worked great, and the beach is magnificent. Well worth the trip! Just wish we would have gone earlier in the week so we could have gone back again! Audrey was magnificent, and walked us through everything during the check-in process. It is somewhat difficult to find the first time (especially in the dark), but the owners recommend a car rental company that will bring you to the villa (we just used a different option). Would love to stay at this location again if/when we return to St. Martin.

Beautiful, peaceful villa!
Villa Cote Mer is an excellent spot to relax and unwind. The retracting glass doors expose the entire lower floor for a peaceful, open concept living space. Neighbourhood is very quiet and several good restaurants are within walking distance down the hill. Minor issues on arrival were handled quickly by the caretaker. Clean and modern. Make sure to use the kayaks to paddle to Pinel Island!

Beautiful house, great location!
Our family of 7 had a terrific week in this wonderful villa. Highlights: • indoor/outdoor living at its best, with an entire wall of glass that opens onto the large terrace and pool area • gorgeous view • clean, airy, very nicely furnished • the excellent nearby Villa Pizza, which with 3 small grandchildren was our go-to for most dinners • quick, easy trip to Pinel Island, a repeat destination when we were able to drag the kids away from the pool • excellent kayaking and paddle boarding from the shore a few steps away We hope to return!

A big Thank you! Wonderful vacation!!!
We had a wonderful stay in St Martin and at villa Cote Mer ! We found the villa to be just as advertised and very comfortable and convenient for our stay. We had a prompt communication with the owners prior to the trip. The Manager was very friendly and very welcoming and did a great job showing us around, informing us about various aspects of the villa, the amenities and sharing informations about the island in general. The location was fantastic with quick and easy access to lots of great beaches such as Pinel Island, Anse Marcel, Orient Bay, Friars bay and access to great dining in Grand case. We had a perfect lunch at Karibuni at Pinel Island after a fun trip with the provided Kayaks crossing the protected waters of Bay de Cul de Sac, with the incredible sand bar in the middle. All kinds of blue and green waters there. Groceries, wine, shops, pharmacy and bank all near by and easily accessible. We would highly recommend villa Cote Mer to anyone visiting the island and would certainly consider it again for a future visit!

Piece of paradise
Our stay was really pleasant.. we enjoy the villa and the quietness who came with it. Audrey was really nice and helpful on our arrival showing us the place. Housekeeping was top notch and the pool was clean the entire week.. We visit St-Martin couples of times already and your villa was by far our best stay. You can be sure that we will be more than happy to go back on our next visit.

Awesome Place – I am coming back!
Stayed June 2015 — We have been to the island many times and this was our first time to stay on the French side. The Villa Cote Mer was positively amazing. Owner Dominique was very helpful ahead of time and Audrey was very helpful and welcoming on site. The kitchen was perfectly equipped. The bedrooms and bathrooms a great size. The whole place felt fresh, new and comfortable. The pool was perfect for lounging around after we spent afternoons at the beaches on the island. My husband and I came with our daughters (17 and 22) and their two friends. Villa was amazing and I can’t wait to come back! AMAZING views as the whole ocean facing side opens up!

Beautiful, relaxing and just as advertised.
Stayed in October 2015 — We had a wonderful stay in St. Martin and at Villa Cote Mer! We found the villa to be just as advertised and very comfortable and convenient for our stay. We had great and prompt communication with the owners prior to the trip (and were very appreciative of the recommendation to rent a car from Banana Location, as they met us at the airport and escorted us to the villa). Audrey, the property manager was very friendly and welcoming and did a great job showing us around, informing us about various aspects of the villa, the amenities and sharing information about the island in general. We had some trouble trying to get a taxi on our second night and so we reached out to Audrey for assistance and she went out of her way to assist and find us a reliable taxi driver for the week! This location was fantastic with quick and easy access to lots of great beaches such as Pinel Island, Anse Marcel, Orient Beach, Friars Bay and access to great dining in Grand Case (as well as at the afore mentioned beaches). Groceries, wine shop, pharmacy and bank all near by and easily accessible. We would highly recommend Villa Cote Mer to anyone visiting the island and would certainly consider it again for a future visit!

Stunning Home
This was our first visit to the island and it was amazing. The Villa Cote Mer is just beautiful and very secure in a gated community. The property is just as pictured and more lovely in person. Bedrooms were large and the bathrooms lovely. The Villa is modern and well maintained. Air conditioners kept the bedrooms very cool and comfy. The house owner Dominique and Jouan where so great answering all questions prior to our visit. The Villa manager Audrey was lovely and so helpful. We chose to have the housekeeper each morning which was very helpful. The Simply market is less than 10 minutes from the Villa and has everything you could need as far as food and supplies. We cooked every night in the nicely equipped modern kitchen. The seafood market is open on Saturday and Wednesday with a beautiful supply of fresh fish, lobster, clams and mussels. I would suggest arriving by 9 am to get your choice of fish. We rented our car from Michael as suggested by Dominique. He was super accommodating delivering and picking up the vehicle when we needed it. We found venturing out easy and fun. We went to several beaches in the area including Anse Marcel, Orient, Gran Case and Mullet Bay. We took the Villa kayaks for a short paddle over to Pinel Island which was beautiful. I would highly recommend this property to friends and family and hope to return next fall.

Fabulous Home Away From Home!
Stayed in May 2015 — This was my very first time using this website and I was more than pleased with my experience at Villa Cote Mer! To begin, Dominique is incredibly kind, communicative and helpful. Secondly, the house is exactly as pictured and described. I came for a week with five girlfriends on a relaxing island getaway. We often cooked and lounged by the pool in between exploring the island and it’s many beautiful beaches. We very much enjoyed coming back to Villa Cote Mer at the end of each day. I would definitely come back again! Here are a few other highlights in the area: – Villa Pizza: The food is delicious and it’s just down the hill from the house – Pancho Villa: The tacos and Sangria are fantastic! – Pinel Island: The second floor of the house looks out onto Pinel Island. One girl in our group kayaked from the house and the rest of us took a 5 minute boat ride there 🙂 – Simply: This is where we did most of our grocery and wine shopping.

Gorgeous Villa
Stayed in April 2015 — We had a very enjoyable 1-week stay at Villa Cote Mer. The villa and location (Cul de Sac) are stunning with beautiful sea views. Any request or inquiry we had while there was answered immediately. I would highly recommend this gorgeous villa.

Amazing view and villa
Stayed in March 2015 — We stayed here for a week with our 4 teen aged kids. The villa is just as pictured, very clean with a beautiful view from both upstairs and downstairs (and even from the shower). Henri and Dominique were very easy to work with as was Audrey who met us at the villa upon arrival. Audrey also helped us reserve beach chairs and a lunch reservation at Le Karibuni on Pinel Island (We highly recommend this!). We also loved the pizza restaurant at the corner. The food and atmosphere were great and reasonable prices. You will definitely want to rent a car, but the island is easy to get around and grocery stores are fairly close.

A Wonderful Week
Stayed in February 2015 — The villa was exactly as advertised. We couldn’t have been happier. It was a perfect fit for our two families of three. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck and swimming at all hours. We loved that there was a grocery store nearby and that you are centrally located to many beautiful beaches and wonderful restaurants. We never met the housekeeper but she did come and clean and change the sheets mid week. The house was spotless when we arrived. Audrey was wonderful and gave us some good information when we needed it. She also helped our friends with their lost luggage as we accidentally gave the Airline her number instead of the house number. She was there when we arrived and came back on Saturday as promised on time. Fred, the pool man was very friendly and interesting and gave us information about the island we would not have known otherwise. We thank you so much for the use of your villa. We had a wonderful week with beautiful weather and would love to come back sometime in the future. I will definitely recommend the villa to anyone who is traveling your way!

Beautiful vacation!
Stayed in January 2015 — We recently returned from two weeks at this wonderful property. Henri and Dominique were very easy to communicate with, and Henri met us at the property to give a tour and overview. Prior to renting we thoroughly searched many properties before making our decision. We were very happy we chose this rental. It is exactly like the pictures and immaculate. The modern appliances and completely equipped kitchen were an unexpected bonus. we even cooked on several evenings enjoying the views and wide open air feeling. Some of the reviews mention an obstructed view, however we found the beautiful foliage and water views relaxing and very beautiful. I spent most of the weeks just sitting staring out at that view. It was fun to watch the iguanas and turtles in the yard. We even fed the horses and donkeys up on the nearby hill. We were five adults and very comfortable. The bathrooms are exquisite and the furnishings throughout are very modern adding to the great ambiance. Although modern, it still has a Carribean flavor. Henri had provided a book of suggested restaurants and contacts. We tried most restaurants and were very happy with the choices. We also discovered Sunset Cafe at the beginning of the road through Grand Case. It was great food (dinner/lunch) and views of the sunset incredible! We traveled to St Bart for the day and often went into Grand Case and Marigot for the locals markets. The property is in a great island location, close to the supermarket, Grand Case and Orient Beach for morning croissants. There is also a great little market in Orient Beach. We never felt unsafe. It is a gated community in an off the path location. While we were there the housekeepers came twice, the bug man twice and Fred the pool man twice. We felt very attended to. The only negatives had nothing to do with the property, they was unusually choppy water limiting our kayak usage. We never were able to take them out requiring us to use the shuttle to Pinel Island, which became expensive. Also, the mosquitoes were a mild nuisance but the supermarket had bug candles that helped a lot. The bean bag chairs are also a little tough on us older folk. I would highly suggest this property for rental. We have stayed in St Marten several times (hotels and other villas) and this was my favorite.

Home far away from home
Stayed in September 2014 — I booked the Location via Internet – and everything was as described. Management & staff – best-in-class. If you want to relax – here we are !!! Travelling a lot around the world I seldom book hotel accomodation. I like to have privacy, kitchen – and a pool. Commercials: I wouldn´t say it´s – it´s the price worth (I travelled alone). And if you come with a corona of 4 or more People…. If it´s a MUST for you to have the “Caribbean Beach” in front of you (like Shoal Bay on Anguilla) – this is not the place. … for me it was one of my best choices I ever made. Eddy

Cote Mer Summer 2014, Great Time!
Stayed in August 2014 — We enjoyed a 2 week stay at the villa during summer 2014.The owners, manager Audrey and Michael from the car rental were all kind and helpful to us throughout our stay.. the villa is lovely with modern decor on the interior and the grounds are established in a lush tropical setting. It is a perfect quiet neighborhood just a short distance from Pinel island. everything to enjoy your holiday is there with a full kitchen that opens onto the pool and deck. The “living and dining area” are very airy, relaxing and also open to the pool and deck. Great pool which is cleaned several times per week! there was also housekeeping to change linens and do a thorough clean during our stay The bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds and the upstairs loft has beautiful views of the bay. The wifi worked throughout our stay, we made ample use of the bbq grill and the washing machine was a nice amenity. there is a path to the bay from the garden where you can stroll and sit out on a gazebo and there are also kayaks to use if you want to paddle to Pinel or around the shallow bay. We cannot say enough about how well-furnished and equipped the villa and grounds are! Best of all Dominique let us bring our dog so it was truly the right choice of villa! It really was a perfect entertaining and well-maintained vacation property. it is a great location in Cul de Sac which is a quiet, lush and private area with good security, great views and easy to get around. Villa Pizza is right there at the entry to the road leading to the villa for good food! We would go back and highly recommend this villa.

Most beautiful part of the island!
Stayed in July 2013 — Dear Dominique, Excuse me for the delayed answer but we are still in vacation-mood. We really enjoyed our stay at your beautiful villa Ccote Mer. The house fits perfect in the atmosphere and the weather of the island. The views are spectacular! We managed to visit the whole island and all the villages, cities, bays and beaches it has to offer. After doing that we could conclude that ‘our’ Cul De Sac is the most beautiful part of the island, we definitely made the best choice! The fact that we had two kayaks was wonderful, we absolutely enjoyed kayaking to Pinel island and to Petit Clef!! The air conditioning was perfect, the terrace is big , the house is amazingly open, the house is fully equipped with lovely furniture and kitchen utensils, and the temperature of the pool is nicely refreshing. Benédicte did a good job, she was very welcoming, helpful & friendly. Overall we had a wonderful, unforgettable vacation in your dream-villa at one of the best locations of the island, with a beautiful view! THANK YOU VERY MUCH kind regards,

Go, stay, and enjoy!
Stayed in June 2014 — Our family could not have been happier with our stay. We were greeted warmly by the house manager and spent a lovely week in this modern, well-equipped and beautifully maintained Villa. We loved the outside area including the grounds and the tranquil view. The location could not have been better as in close proximity to spectacular beaches and the best dining in the area. Dominique ensured our experience was seamless in every aspect. We would highly recommend a stay at Villa Cote Mer.

Fabulous – Total Privacy! Definitely would return!
Stayed in March 2014 — We cannot say enough about the care and attention that Dominique and Audrey provided us from the day we started planning to the day we left as they were available to help with any questions or provide any requested service. They both take their responsibilities very seriously and it was such a comfort to know that they were just a phone call away. Although, there is little need to call. Every possible need was anticipated – the Villa is spotless and has everything in it from totally furnished kitchen to relaxing sitting areas, ample chaise lounges and the wonderful Kayaks!!! Pinel Island is a paradise and kayaking over to it was the greatest of fun. Be aware that there is not any real beach at the Villa – it is a small area with a dock and more of a kayak launch – although my granddaughters did swim off of it….but the beach area had lots of seed weed and not inviting but we did not care as you only need to take that 10 minute kayak ride to Pinel and there it is!!! Beautiful beaches and walking trails! The advantage of this is that by not having a long beach created tremendous security – one feels like they could sleep with the 35 break away wall open all night. There is a complete sense of privacy and you feel as if you are tucked away on a little hill over the bay surrounded by lush foliage (but that does block your views to the bay). With the wall open it is as if you have a swimming pool in your living room. Also good to know is that the two back bedrooms on the first floor are large but dark and no view and only meant for sleeping but the master upstairs has magnificent views, although not from your bed – the windows do not go to the floor. Each of the three bedrooms has large, fully modern and fabulous full bathrooms and there is a washer and dryer (although the dryer doesn’t dry but who needs it – there was a clothes line and great breezes). As a tip, there is a short path off the dock down at the launch that allows you to walk over to where the ferry goes to Pinel, in case you don’t want to Kayak. There is a food truck in the parking lot that has the greatest hamburgers (reasonably priced) and even omelets for breakfast. But we never wanted to leave our wonderful Villa for breakfast – as the sun rises from the East right into the Villa and created magical mornings! Thank you Dominique– for providing us with a beautiful memory of the spectacular St. Martins and Pinel Island.

Totally Awesome!
Stayed in February 2014 — Villa Coté Mer is the place to stay !! From arriving at the airport to find our car rental personnel, Banana Location Car Rental, escorting us to the villa, to Audreys welcome and tour of Villa Coté Mer. What a great way to start our holiday! Our stay was as we had expected. The open concept to the pool area was fabulous, enjoyed our morning coffee and night caps sitting by the pool, totally relaxing, quiet gated area. The grocery/wine store was close by. lots of restaurants in the area and a must is to visit all the restaurant at Grand Case, the food and service is great. We’ve been renting villas/homes for over 10 years and once again we were extremely pleased! Thank you Dominique and Henri for the beautiful villa!

Great stay from start to finish
Stayed in January 2014 — From start to finish we had a great stay. They helped with the car rental, good value and the guy met us at the airport and lead us to the house, a trip you wouldn’t want to do by yourself at night and not knowing the island. Henri met us at the house and gave us a great run down of everything and was available to help if we needed anything [which we didn’t]. Everything was as expected, very clean, functional and we loved the open space when you opened the glass doors. The property faces East so great morning sun. Do bring/buy bug spray as the mosquitoes can be aggressive at dusk. They are not bad as there was a constant breeze that kept most at bay. The house is in a gated community that made you feel safe. There is a small beach a short walk from the house but its use is more for launching canoes and evening cocktails to watch the kite boarders who launch in the bay directly in front of the house. The property is a short drive from great the grocery store [which carries wine and an excellent variety of foods], beaches and restaurants and only 20 minutes to more activities on the Dutch side including nightclubs for the kids who want to party. If you want the French side [no casinos, high rises etc] at a reasonable price, this is ideal for adults and teenage plus children. Small ones may find the stairs a concern.

A great (2nd) stay, Highly Recommend.
Stayed in October 2013 — It was our second time at Villa Cote Mer and be able to stay there really drove our decision to return to St Martin. There is so much to see and do in St Martin and this villa offers the perfect starting point to enjoy the island. Located a few minutes drive from every thing you need, its really not a hassle to enjoy the area. Cul de Sac is by far one of the prettier parts of the island. While Orient Bay (next door) and Grand Case’s great restaurants are only a 5-7 min drive away as are many beaches. But overall we found the best beach in St Martin to be right in front of the house at Pinel Island and the house kayaks provided the perfect way to get there. Reserve your chairs and lunch spot at Karibuni and there not much left to think about. The house itself is airy, modern, well appointed and very inviting. Just like the pics and more. Bedrooms are large, comfortable and kept spotless. Everything you need is available incl, TV (didnt turn it on) wifi, ipod speaker, fully equipped kitchen, BBQ and AC in the BR should you need it. Once you open the large sliding doors to the deck, the house takes on a new dimension. A very nice space indeed. My favourite time was taking an early AM plunge in the pool followed by nice cup of Nespresso. A great way to start the day. The greeting, support and assistance were also top notch and professional. Henri and Dominique are wonderful hosts. The Pool and house were cleaned during our stay and they helped us out w/ car rental, restaurants and attractions. Help was never more than a phone call away. (Note get a roaming package for your cell phone as we got hit w/ exorbitant charges on our return,) Overall it was a perfect vacation experience and Villa Cote Mer certainly had a lot do with it. Congrats guys. Comment. We had read one review above commenting about the area around the villa. It is not run down at all. nor dangerous, we felt safe all the time. Also no AC needed unless you don’t like the gentle ocean breeze. Enjoy.

Paradise by the sea
Stayed in July 2013 — We spent 10 lovely days at this villa . The house is really as beautiful as you can see at the photographs. The very spacious, luxury, fully equipped house and the phenomenal view give you an instant vacation feeling . The sea is nearby and there are 2 lovely islands to visit by the kayaks of the house. The villa is located quietly but supermarkets and the most beautiful beaches( Palm Beach was our top favorite) and cozy restaurants are reachable within a few minutes by car . Within our stay we visited the whole island by car and one day by boat (very recommended ! ) and at the end we were convinced that we had chosen the most beautiful part of the island and a dream villa to stay . Don’t hesitate ! Go for an unforgettable vacation in Villa Cote Mer.

Very nice villa
Stayed in July 2013 — We enjoyed our stay here very much. The villa was secure and there was a safe for us to put our valuables in while out of the villa. The partial views of the bay and the surrounding mountains were lovely. The villa was clean and well stocked. We enjoyed the pool and the three kayaks very much. The area around the villa is a bit run down so be prepared for that and the gate to the community was never closed whenever we came or went. But we really did feel safe while inside the villa and liked the location on the island very much. There is no AC in the main areas of the house so it can get quite hot. The bedrooms had AC so the nights were very comfortable. There were zero mosquito issues….the owner had installed a couple of machines that kept them from being a problem. I would highly recommend this villa if you can tolerate no AC during the day.

Nicest hidden part of french Saint Martin
Stayed in August 2013 — Hi, I wanted to write to you to tell you how much we loved your Villa Coté Mer!… This was our second stay there, you keep your place in a perfect condition ! Our stay there once again exceeded our expectations – from the moment we opened the huge front glass sliding doors and enjoyed the pool and the great view to the bay..to the time we sadly left the key to your helpful manager Benedicte as we departed – we were transported by the magic of Cul de Sac – and your well appointed and beautiful villa so fresh with the light trade wind , and so well decorated . It really was lovely. I particularly loved the upstairs room with the panoramic view, and the so pretty bathroom with the hidden sliding door ..I really felt at home. We nearly had all of our lunch at Pinel Island, part of the group riding the kayaks, our two sons snorkeling looking for turtles and ray in the sanctuary. The location, right on the water, half distance from Orient bay and Grand Case is just perfect. We left part of our hearts there and really would love to return again! And plan on doing so! Thank you so much for offering your elegant, yet comfy home – Perfect! Thank you Dominique for your quick and helpful answers !

Great for a quiet family vacation
Stayed in June 2013 — My family of 5, including 3 adult children, stayed at Villa Cote Mer while in Saint Maarten touring Medical Schools for our daughter. The villa was exactly as it appears in the pictures provided. The property was very well maintained and a delightful way to spend time in Saint Maarten if you are looking for a relaxing, peaceful spot. Pinel Island was the added bonus, a short ferry boat ride away with the boat dock just a short walk from our villa. The house manager was most helpful, providing us with lists of restaurants, attractions and general island information. A car is definitely a must.

Gorgeous house!!! Perfect location!
Stayed in May 2013 — We had a wonderful time staying at your villa and definitely plan on returning! The location was perfect and we went to Pinel Island 3 of the days we were there because it was so beautiful. The villa was clean, modern, and perfect for 3 couples. We cooked out on the barbeque one night and we had a delicious meal with the ocean and pool in the backdrop. We were worried about the bugs, but nobody was bit by any mosquitoes and there were no bugs in the house. Our favorite part of the trip was sitting on the deck in the evening in your fabulous bean bag chairs, drinking a local beer, and taking a dip in the pool. We had a few days of rain, but it didn’t stop us from enjoying the beaches and going boating. Thank you again for renting your place to us! We look forward to returning some day.

Family Vacation French Cul de Sac
We had a wonderful time at Villa Cot de Mer. The listing information & photos are accurate. The villa is close to the water, and the major beachs (Orient Beach) and dining areas (Grand Case) are within 10 to 15 minutes drive. From the Villa, you can easily make your way to Pinel Island, either by kayak or the ferry. The beach and restaurants on Pinel are excellent and should not be missed. The property is kept very clean and the pool is well maintained. Our two teen-agers had rooms to themselves. Everyone had a great time. Be sure to stop at La Villa and Bistrot Caraibes restaurants while in Grand Case. You will not be disappointed.
